What began as six strangers meeting for an overnight cycling trip to a state park just outside the city has grown into New York City’s largest weekend bikepacking club.

ADV (New York City Adventure Cycling Club) is the largest NYC club hosting weekend overnight cycling trips where cyclists carry all their gear and food with them for an overnight stay outdoors. This is extensively known as bikepacking or bicycle touring. The club hosts regular member socials, weekend overnights, and the odd-multi day trip, all planned and managed by its volunteer member organizers. The club started in 2016 with six strangers coming together for a bike ride and overnight camping trip in a state park just outside of New York City. Since then the group has grown and there have been countless nights sleeping out under the stars.
